Dynamic Properties of Multiagents Based on a Mechanism of Loose Coalition

چکیده
In this paper, we propose a method of coalition formation for assigning tasks to appropriate agents to improve the e ciency of multiagent systems. To form a coalition, we introduce subjective information to agents, which are the internal information of the agents. The subjective information re ect the agents' cooperative behavior of the past. Next, we introduce loose coalition, a concept of a coalition of agents based on the subjective information. Using the agents' sense of values de ned by their subjective information, each agent can give priority to the loose coalitions to ask for the working status or to assign tasks. Thus loose coalitions with higher priority will be better cooperating candidates. Furthermore, loose coalitions enable agents to collect information (e.g. busyness of loose coalitions) for task assignment e ciently. Therefore, the agents on the system can decide its behavior properly, depending on the current status of the system, and thus the e ciency of the system can be improved. Then, we observe dynamic properties of system under several settings of agents to derive a guideline for designing e ective multiagent systems based on loose coalitions.

A Comparative Study of Multi-Attribute Continuous Double Auction Mechanisms
Auctions have been as a competitive method of buying and selling valuable or rare items for a long time. Single-sided auctions in which participants negotiate on a single attribute (e.g. price) are very popular. Double auctions and negotiation on multiple attributes create more advantages compared to single-sided and single-attribute auctions. Nonetheless, this adds the complexity of the auctio...
متن کاملStatic and Dynamic Analyses of Micropiles to Reinforce the High Railway Embankments on Loose Beds
Construction of railway embankments on loose beds without using any methods of soil improvement (e.g. stone columns in silt and clay beds, deep soil mixing method, jet grouting and also using micropiles individually or in groups form) leads to reduction of embankment slope gradient, which significantly increases the volume of soil operation. Generally, micropile as a reinforcing element with t...
متن کاملEvolutionary Learning of Multiagents Using Strategic Coalition in the IPD Game
Social and economic systems consist of complex interactions among its members. Their behaviors become adaptive according to changing environment. In many cases, an individual’s behaviors can be modeled by a stimulus-response system in a dynamic environment. In this paper, we use the Iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma (IPD) game, which is a simple model to deal with complex problems for dynamic systems...

In a dynamic system, such as social and economic systems, complex interactions emerge among its members. In that case, their behaviors become adaptive according to changing environment. In this paper, we use the iterated prisoner’s dilemma (IPD) game, which is simple yet capable of dealing with complex problems, to model the dynamic system, and propose strategic coalition to obtain superior ada...
متن کاملInvestigation of Liquefaction Mechanism and Displacement in Buried Sand Layers
One of the most important reasons for damages during earthquakes is the liquefaction of loose and saturated sand soils. However, in many regions with proper soil specifications, the large settlements have been observed in the ground surface. Loose sand layers buried in fine soils are one of the cases which may result in these problems and as a weak point during earthquake can cause this phenome...
